| Reno | Train station location Posted: Wed May 17, 2006 09:25 PM UTC
Hello all,
visiting my Dad in Carson city via train from Reno and I need to rent a car or find alternate route to Carson city from Reno. Is there a car rental near the train station or a bus to Reno. Thx |

Check with Enterprise they will bring the car to you. I don't recall any rental car places near the train station in Reno. The Amtrak is right downtown, but some of the big hotels downtown might have rental desk and those are all within an easy walk from the station. Check El Dorado, Circus Circus, and Silver Legancy.

There is a much cheaper alternative if all you need is a one-time trip and dont need a car after your arrival:

Hope it works for you. The "Pride" bus can be picked up at corner of 4th and Center (~6am to ~6pm, Monday ~ Friday)... downtown.
You can take it to Carson City, then either take a taxi, or an other bus if your dad happens to live close to a stop. Buses in Carson are not overly developed, but thankfully its a small city. http://www.carson-city.nv.us/jac.htm
