Hello. I was hoping someone could help me with directions for public transportation from the otogar in Izmir to Konak, specifically, to near the Best Western Konak at Mithatpasa Cad No: 128, Konak. We will be traveling to and from the otogar several times, so we would like to figure out what bus to take to save some money. Thanks in advance for your help!

the bus line which takes you to the otogar will take you to the centre of the city with their own shuttle. Then you can take the public busses to the hotel. if the bus line doesnt have a shuttle (but it must have) public buses will take you to a centre like konak or alsancak and you can take another bus to the hotel. Dont forget your hotel is a bit away from Konak so you have to get off the bus after Konak. By the way everybody will be pleased to help you. you pay 1.5 YTL in every bus ( thats less than 1 euro ) I advice you to buy a kentkart you pay less for the bus, for boat, for metro and your wife can also use it. Transport will be very very easy in İzmir dont think about it. enjoy your trip

After you get off the shuttle bus which takes you to the city from the otogar,i'd advise you to go towards the sea in Alsancak.So that your travel to konak would be less complicated.You can ask anyone to show you where the bus stops are on the shore.Izmir is the one of the best cities in Turkey but transportation is a bit complicated however i'm sure anyone would like to help you?Enjoy your trip:)
