I will be in Costa Rica from the June 24th to July 3rd. I am going with 3 friends and we will be staying in a house near about 2 mi from Matapalo, very close to Porto Viejo Beach. We are looking to rent a car for the time we are there. We are flying into Liberia and will be driving from there to Tamarindo area. Has anyone been on this road lately, how is it?
Also, I would like to know what restaurants to visit and what bars to go to at night. Is there a good surf shop to use for board rentals? What are their rates? Thanks for the help, Greg |

Hi Greg,
I was there, the Liberia route its not that good but better than it was,surf shop go to Banana surf club on the road to langosta,best boards and rates. Bars..im not sure when but every night has a bar, restaurant, taco Stop (mexican), mama deli (italian) Good luck!!
