taxi costs /victoria falls town

i can't find anything in the internet about taxi costs from victoria falls airport to the victoria falls hotel?does anyone know how much it is? is there a taxi dispatch for taxis with flat fares or taximeter or is the price negotionable?
what about victoria falls town-is it save to go there for lunch/dinner and to go for a little shopping?

Taxi costs are difficult to detrmine at this point due to the fuel situation in Zim. Also the fluctuating exchange rate. Your best bet is to ask your accommodation provider to arrange something for you, and then confirm prices close to your arrival date. About a month ago, I heard it was USD20 one way.
Victoria Falls is very safe and yes, you can walk around comfortably without any concerns. You may be hassled by vendors and foreign currency traders, but that's about the worst that could happen to you.
