Gloucester Travel Forum

I will be in Gloucester for a long weekend with my family in late May. I am hoping top stay in a central location in town that would allow me to walk to shops, restarants and taverns at night. Does this town have this kind of nightlife? If so, any good motel/Inn sugestions?

Which Gloucester do you mean? There is at least one in Canada, at least one in the UK and twoo that I know about in the US.

If you're asking about Gloucester, Massachusetts, the only lodging in proximity to the downtown area would be small bed-and-breakfasts. There are several places to stay along the Back Shore on Atlantic Road that afford a spectacular ocean view, but you would find that nothing is within walking distance from them. There is 24-hour taxi service; the local buses don't run frequently enough to be particularly useful.
