| Lesotho | Travelling Across Lesotho Posted: Fri May 12, 2006 04:25 PM UTC
Hi everyone,
We are going from Cape Town to Lesotho in a couple of weeks, starting in Maseru. Can anyone give me any tips for travelling out to the East, via the Sani Pass, and then heading out towards Port St Johns in South Africa (on the Wild Coast) will we have to hire a car, or is public transport reliable? Any tips on what to do/see in Lesotho? Many thanks Katie |

Hi Katie
Going to Lesotho at this time of the year is dicy becous it is winter and it allway snow on top of the mountens. I will recomend a 4x4 for Sani Pass but if it snow it will be a BIG NOW NOW to go there. About every winter the South African Airforce must resque peopel from the mountens in Lesotho. If you want to go to Lesotho Go to the westen part(Maseru side)less snow and more accessebil by 2X4. Public Transport is allso not a good idear in Lesotho but in SA there is good bus compenys. Louis
