Hi everyone !!

I would like to ask you for your help :-) I am traveling from Prague to Bristol in the end of May and would like to continue my journey to Plymouth. Please could you help me to find some suitable and cheap return transport from Bristol to Plymouth? My flight is reaching Bristol on 31.5. at 7:00 p.m.

Many thanks for your kind cooperation !!! Have a wonderful day !

With kind regards

Well, usually I'd suggest the coach but in this case there is not coach in the evening and anyway the fare is rather expensive. I think the best option really is the train. There are evening departures, the journey is quicker than by coach, and if you book in advance it even seems to be the cheapest option.

I WOULD book in advance though. It will be a lot cheaper than trying to buy a ticket on the day. Try http://www.thetrainline.co.uk

There is also an organisation called liftshare where you can find people who intend to drive this route who you can pay for a lift. The website is http://www.liftshare.org/ Otherwise I'd take the train. Either way you'll have to find your way into Bristol centre from the Airport, to do this you can either get a taxi (a bit expensive) or there's a bus (about £5 I think.)

Enjoy!

www.nationalexpress.com for coach times and fares, www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times and fares. You can buy train tickets from the trainline.com (and sometimes buying in advance is cheaper, but not always), but it's not essential.

The railway between Exeter and Plymouth is some of the prettiest in the UK, running around the coast. But, by the time you get there, you will need noght-vision goggles ;-)

Buying tran tickets in advance: £27.00.
Buying train tickets on the day: £41.00, £85.00 if you can't get a saver ticket.
Seems pretty essential to me to book in advance.
Don't bother with National Express. They are cheaper for some journeys but in this case it's about £50.00.

Oh and it's probably cheaper to buy 2 single train tickets, not a return.
