Hi everyone,
I was wondering if someone can tell me, how hard it will be for us travelling aussies to get work in the Lake District in October this year, we are coming over on a WHV and are hoping to get live-in work in Lake District (we will be starting in Ambleside)? Any advice would be helpful!!! |

My only thought is that it is coming to the end of the tourist season then, so your opportunities for work might be limited.

I had the same thought so suggest you might do well to consider other areas too, perhaps large towns?

Doesn't help but I was there last week for 6 days. They are literally dragging people off the streets especially round Wasdale and Eskdale. There are obviously fewer jobs in October and the Poles are your competition but there is always a high turnover and its a asking around talking to bar staff and being in the right place at the right time.
