Bonn Travel Forum

Hallo,
I'll be on an official trip to Germany and will be in Bonn in the first week of June. First time in Germany and travelling alone-any tips?
The only advantage i can think of right now is that I can speak and read/write Deutsch a bit.
Is it easy for me to travel to Jena by ICE?
Any precautions?

As you ask for precautions, you might have already considered this:
Travelling alone and coming from India (and looking foreign) you might want to avoid suburbian or rural areas or some city areas at night in eastern germany. I myself can only judge the situation there by what I read and hear in the news. So maybe this is exaggerated, but lets just say: you wouldnt want to have your experience ruined by some drunken as***e calling you names.
