My wife and I may stay in Cambridge on the nights of July 27 and 28. If so, we need inexpensive but clean accommodations in a safe area, within walking distance of the city center. Thank you.

There is a good Youth Hostel in Cambridge within easy walking distance of the city centre. Also, as term will be over some of the colleges offer accommodation at good prices. Enjoy your visit, it's a wonderful city. Tissie

We chose the BENSON HOUSE Bed and Breakfast and enjoyed our stay there a few years ago. It is on Huntingdon Road near Girton, just a couple blocks from the County Arms Pub, and some punting activity, etc. You can see a pic of it and get more info on it at this website. Inexpensive accommodation in Cambridge is not easy. Try the YHA Youth Hostel (97 Tenison Road), or The Sleepers B&B in front of the train station. Also, there are some good B&B at Tenison Road, near the station, less expensive and in a very good location. Book ahead!
