Can't find accomodation anywhere in Eindhoven for the UEFA Cup Final so I'm thinking of staying in Amsterdam. From what I can see the last train to Amsterdam leaves at 23.38? So any idea's on how to get from Eindhoven to Amsterdam after the match would be greatly appreciated. No doubt we'll miss the last train and I would imagine a taxi would be pretty pricy?

I can't help you with taxi info, although the Netherlands is so small it doesn't take long to get from any one city to another. However, looking at the schedules there are a couple of later train options to towns with good hotel options, including Maastricht at just after midnight and Venlo at about 00:30. I was thinking of going to the game as well, but I won't be able to spare the time :).

You might consider staying in Tilburg or Breda or even Maastricht. As it takes about an hour and a half to get from Eindhoven to Amsterdam, I imagine it would cost you a fortune by taxi, but you could ask a local taxi company for a quote:

Could well be a chase for that train. Taxis are the only real option and they cost about the same as they do in England. And the Dam is going to be a magnet for the Boro fans so I would get one booked and stuff the cost. The alternative is to find an all-night bar in Eindhoven and it might be worth posting an item on the forum to see if there are any. They'll be packed too so it could be a kip in a park and the first train in the morning. Good luck and enjoy whatever you do.
