| Bristol | Bristol reunion Posted: Tue May 2, 2006 09:46 PM UTC
hi,
Grew up in Bristol, only been back a few times, and am planning a reunion for a weekend in july. Although getting too old for it, we fancy a night out clubbing. Pubs we can just revisit old haunts, but clubbing has probalby changed beyond all recognition. I'd like something more dancy, but still quite big, along the lines of Fabric in london. Does such a place exist? Any going out tips appreciated. I saw 'the Depot' reviewed on "Doc Strange" VT sight. Any more info on it? Any tips welcome, seems funny asking VT about a UK place! |

The Depot shut down a year or so ago. It's a shame - that was a good joint. If by dancy you mean underground, at the moment it would be lakota (just off the malborough street roundabout) or black swan (stapleton rd, easton). They basically took over from the depot. If you are talking mainstream then there are all those in the centre / waterfront - creation, evolution, etc. COme to think of it, creation throws an occasional night that gets somewhere between the two, if you dont want it too underground
