Well i'm heading for tajikistan for bridge const project near afghan border under a italian firm .I'm not aware of current situation out there like security problem and mode of travelling to tajikistan from India.
I'm supposed to go Via kabul by road to tajikistan. I'll really appreciate if any one help me out by providing correct information. |

Hello!
I've been researching the options myself as I am trying to get friends from Nepal to join me in Dushanbe and Pamir. Tajikistan Airlines no longer flies to Delhi (despite info to the contrary on their web page). Ariana Afghan Airlines flies from Delhi to Kabul, but there is a layover of 3 days in Kabul before the weekly Dushanbe flight. The end result for my Nepalese colleagues was to fly via Istanbul. The road transport should be ok, but cramped and crowded in public transport. Crossings to Tajikistan are open. Lonely Planet's Thorn Three bulleting may carry some updates on the situation. VT has very limited info. I'll try to fix that, going to Dushanbe in a few days. Saagar
