| Ciudad Bolívar | RE: Living and Working in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela Posted: Tue May 9, 2006 01:05 PM UTC Hi! I've always heard that Puerto Ordaz is the most expensive city of the country, I've been there just a couple times, but just as a tourist so I can't really say. Hotels are expensive for the quality they offer. I would recommend Hotel Dos Rios, having the best price-quality relation. Remember that the minimum wage is 450.000 Bs. and the general prices are as follow: Telephone: 25.000 monthly Electricity: 45.000 monthly Food (eating out): 35.000 daily Apartment Rent: 1.000.000 monthly Those prices are for Caracas.
