Hi Enda,
I am a bit lost. Are you returning home to Dublin?
I am here at the beginning of August and I would like to meet up. We could try and organise another VT members nigth.
Let me know where exactly in Ireland home is.

Hi Enda and Dave,
Ok. I admit I never heard that expression before and I am a bit slow. May I should go earlier to then 2 am.
Anyway, I can not help on the car business side of things. But I will have friends from Germany over the bankholiday in August and we will meet somewhere on the West Coast. Nothing def. planned yet. So that could be an option.
I keep you posted ... and why not take the good auld bus.

:-) I think "in the sticks" is an American expression but somehow it found its way into Irish vocab. I think Enda meant that he will be able to borrow a car from one of his friends so he will be able to travel around.
As for me, I'm doing really good. Heading away to Slovenija on Thursday next week for 5 days. Apparently there is a heatwave expected in the area possibly up to 40 C. I've never really experienced these types of temperatures and it'll make such a change from here :-)
I met Suzanne about 10 or 11 days ago for lunch while she was down collecting to rest of her stuff and saying goodbye to her landlady's dog :-) She is in good form and very busy.

Forgot to tell you ... Slovenija is really nice. If it gets to hot you can escape into the mountains, but it should be ok. It is usually a try heat and that is much better to handle than the sticky days here at C 20.

Orla, a chara, there's a good chance we'll be in Dublin at some stage, might get round the city for a days shopping. We could meet for a chat?
Jane, well I know Cian has been dying to meet Emma, he'll definitly be around alright. We'll hardly make it as far as Belfast, although i'd love to visit there again, perhaps we could meet half way?

Hi guys,
This mail has actually nothing to do with the original forum ... but I am just in Vietnam in the Mekong Delta and I have the most wondrful time here. So I may will not make it to the meeting as I am actual not in the mood to come back to Ireland.
Just thought as a Vt member to other Vt members I should let you know that Vietnam is really great.
I also met a Vt member from HCMC there. It was fantastic.

excellent, i'll likely be in Dublin on sat 16th but have to confirm the flight time. Maybe i'll get there the weekend before that?
I'll let you know sooner to the date and if you're free it'd be deadly to meet up.

No worries, Enda. I know how difficult it is to try to fit in all the visiting when you are home for a brief time! I had emailed Orla previously to say that I couldn't make it, either. Husband won tickets to the Stranglers tomorrow night so our plans to go to Dublin have been put on hold.:o)
I hope you are enjoying your visit home - you sure got lucky with the weather!
