Hi !!

My girlfirend is going to the CIA- Culinary institute of america in late october.

Im intending to go there by early next year, to study tourism and hotel.

I would like to talk to someone from the dutchess community!

I have a lot of questions!!

I want to now everything about this part of new york, since iŽll be living there for probably 4 years!!

I live about 2 hours away in North Jersey. Poughkeepsie in general is a nice area. Downtown Poughkeepsie is a little bit run down and is a place I wouldn't consider living. The towns surrounding Poughkeepsie are very nice. You are near the Catskill Mountains, which offers great views and recreation opportunities. There is train service to Manhattan, so you can always take a day trip into NYC. There are warm summers and cool to cold winters there.

I would talk to Zuriga who is from that part of New York and is the expert on the area on VT. She may know specifics.

I know CIA is in Poughkeepsie and has a great reputation. That is just about my extent of my knowledge of CIA. I do not object to you sending me e-mail Easty@virtualtourist.com. I can answer some general questions, but I can not answer specifics.
