Henderson Travel Forum

We are in the process of looking for a vacation home in Henderson, Nevada. The location of one which we like on the internet was described as being right off the 215 at Valle Verde. Is that a "good", safe part of town? Having never been there, I'd appreciate any help.

The area you describe is actually in my neighborhood and it is one of the best areas in all of Henderson and certainly better than any area in nearby Las Vegas! It is close to the police department, close to upscale restaurants and lots of nice stores. You will definately like this area and feel quite safe.

That looks like too much fun, I have never tried yet.

Racing was a "hoot" of a lot of fun. Roaring engines that make your heart pound, the thrill of victory and the agony of a wrecked car!!!

Didn't quite know what do do with the comments from Dave. I'm a brandnew VT subscriber, English is not my native language, so I had no clue what "chirping tires" meant, so at first was quite confused about his post.

You have located a perfect area, you will not be disappointed in the area.

Sorry for jumping post Husum. I was alluding to another post in my answer. I just found it quite interesting that some one was asking about a smaller, but growing, area of Nevada that Catherine lives in.

Dave - are you familiar with Henderson?

I have driven through but awhile ago. Is it huge now? My moms friend has a place there

It's growing so fast, it's unreal, but everything looks so new that I really like it. Population, approx. 300,000. Far enough away from Vegas riff-raff, yet close enough to easily see the Strip or whatever.
