Travel from Larnaka to Kyrenia

My friend and I are flying to Larnaka on 7th May and are staying in Kyrenia. We have been told that we will need to take a taxi from the airport to the border and then get another taxi from the border to Kyrenia. Does anyone know what currency we will need to pay the taxi from the airport. Also which currency will we need for Kyrenia itself.

the taxis will take you directly to Kyrenia. and you can pay in Cyprus pounds and in the other side they have their own monay, but you can change the money there
