| Manhattan Island | One day in Manhattan/3 guys and a girl Posted: Tue April 25, 2006 03:19 AM UTC
Enroute to Grenada, our family of four including two boys 21 and 17 are staying at the W Hotel and considering the following itinerary: some Harbor Cruise to see the statue of Liberty and the skyline, some part of Central Park and then "The Producers" in the evening. Our substinance for the day will have to include a famous New York hot dog off a corner vendor and a slice of pizza. Any hot tips???????? Ground Zero, Times Square and the Empire State building were also considerations.

the harbour cruise is interesting, central park is worth a visit. You should go up the empire state building, it has great views. Try Steve's Pizza outside ground zero to the south, nice pizza. Or if you're looking for something more up market try Lombardi's, that's very nice. In Little Italy part of town. If you're interested I'll find the address for you.
Go to one of the tourist information places first - they often have vouchers for tourist places.

John's Pizza near Times Square (Google for exact location) is another nice family spot for pizza. If you're near the theatres, it's a great before show spot. You didn't mention which 'W' you're staying in. There are a few in Manhattan.. but I hope it's the Times Square one... great lobby and a nice seafood restaurant, too. Central Park is very safe to walk through. Enjoy your trip!
