I am looking for an apartment...walkingf distance to town and ferry for July 8-15...got any suggestions??....Thanks

Hello...I know this is an "after the fact" answer but perhaps it will be usefull to you and your friends in the future. My wife Kelly and I own a small apartment in Varenna...(www.casadimezzo.com), 50 steps from the lake front, a small view of the lake from our bedroom window, and very close to town, (you can see the main piazza from our front door. It is a very beautiful and comfortable apartment with a modern Italian kitchen. The website pictures that my son and i took will show you what our apartment looks like and what varenna looks like. You won't be disappointed.

I own a luxury 2 bed apartment overlooking Varenna, available for those dates.
1 double bed, 1 double sofa bed, and 1 double(or 2 singles)sofa bed.
TV/DVD/garage/balcony with best lake view.
Best reached by car, or 15 mins walk down, or 30 mins up small winding paths
Linen and cleaning package available.
Ferry/railway close by.
Apartment is brand new with some building work in progess, between 9 and 5 weekdas.
Reduced rate available to compensate.

To Richard: we did check out your www.casadimezzo.com and loved all we saw. Just one question: our party consists of 2 ladies (mother and daughter)and we are hopeful that in addition to the 1 queen bed, there might be a sofa or some means whereby we can take turns sleeping in real bed and not "share the queen".
