Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Almería Does anyone know a good site I can look at buying a traditional property?
Posted: Thu April 20, 2006 08:40 PM UTC
Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing propety in Almeria, near Garrucha/Mojacar or anywehre nearby.

I am finding it difficult to find a site on the internet that sells traditional property as apposed to resorts or new builds.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

:-)

Have you Googled using terms like 'Inmobiliaria' and 'Segunda mano' or ' para rehabilitar' or even 'antigua' and certainly nothing with 'construccion in the title !
But I really think that whatever you discover on the Internet will never be as good as searching on the ground.

I agree with the last poster, I've been searching "on and off" for an older property in Andalucia for a couple of years, I did find a few likely options on the net, but when I visited they were not exactly as presented on the internet. I think that the best thing is to stay for a couple of weeks in the area that most interests you. There are some locals who run their own transport and search services, I don't know any off-hand, but other VT folks might. They will line up some good prospects for you to view (based on your criterion) and drive you to view them, this is particularly useful if you are looking for a rural property. Hope this helps.
