Going to Cephallonia in May, looking for best place to hire a cheap car, good restaurants(where the locals go), places of interest off the beaten track...isolated waterfalls etc etc Can anyone help ?? Thanks Joy

Can't advise on up to date info but take a look at Kefalonia pages here on VT.Where are you basing yourselves?
Try www.pangosmio.gr for car hire. We have had great service from them. I think they do Kefalonia.

the pbest place to look is the friends of kefalonia website. they have just tonnes of information about the island and the off the beaten track attractions of kefalonia. they even have some movies up there .

i have been a member of friends of kefalonia for 3 years and got their information pack free when we hired a car from them with all sorts of goodies. you can download some free stuff too. just click around on their island explorer and top trips pages for a really different take on the island. we discovered all sorts of places that we would never have found. hope this helps!
