Alghero Travel Forum

Hi, i am looking for affordable accommodation for 16th to 29th July. Would like to be in a good location in Alghero so i can walk to the shops beach etc. if you know of a good place to stay let me know or if you know of the best location in Alghero so I can focus on that area that would be good also.

I haven't actually stayed there yet, but I've booked this place:

They have studios and two roomed apartments as well as a B&B. Its right near the beach and walking distance into town. They sound really nice and they're not too expensive.

I am going to Alghero in a few weeks time for 3 days & have booked a double room at the El Delfi. Reasonable cost for B&B & it seems to be fairly close to the sea & the old town. They have a website www.eldelfi.com & you can email them with any enquiries. Marco the owner takes a couple of days to reply but he appears to be very friendly & helpful. He even offers to collect from the airport which is a just a few km away.

I actually booked this place by mistake! Someone I know thought someone they knew had stayed there - it turned out that it wasn't the case!! But the reviews I have read on all the usual sites (but not on VT unfortunately!) have been very positive! Feel free to email me after June 13th for my verdict - I will no doubt post some pics & tips too!
