We will be travelling by train from Verona to Desenzano/Sirmione. How easy is it to get around by bus and train in and around the lake? Are the busses very regular?

I wrote a tip ( http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/4c02d/228a3/9/ ) about trasnports. It's mainly about means of transportaton on the Verona side of the lake, but you can find it usuful anyway. There is also a boat option... still to write!

Thank you for that information! Much appreciated. If we are dependent on public transport, would it be best to stay in Desenzano or Sirmione?
