The Green line

I have read that if you cross from South to North Cyprus you ahve to be back at 5pm..

can someone tell me if this is correct

I did it in 99 & yes we had to back on the Greek side by 5pm.............Nicola

I think it may be later now. Around 10pm or 11pm. You still can't stay overnight though - unlike the Greek Cypriots who can cross and stay in official accomodation.

hi,

just checking - is everyone sure that this is still the case. my folks are supposed to be going to the north tomorrow from the south. they have gone before but wanted to stay in kyrenia this time overnight. only heard last night maybe they can't stay overnight. they have a british & irish passport respectively. i thought the situation had recently changed. any advice gratefully received.

A friend of mine went to Cyprus earlier in the year & he said he had to return to the southern side by 5 or 5.30pm

I did this back in July. It is still a bit confusing. I travelled from the greek side to turkish side..the turks said go back when ever u want...but i think the greeks like you back about 6ish.
