Hi, I'm coming down to Christchurch for the easter long weekend and it seems pretty cold by the weather forecast, but I wanted an opinion on the following sartorial dilemma:
Do i bring an overcoat or a leather jacket or both?! Thanks in advance for replying without laughing at me :)

Which one is warmest?? rainproof?? are you going to be doing formal stuff a lot or adventure stuff or what??
so many questions. will you get out into the country or just stay in the city?

the overcoat is warmer but not rainproof, the leather is rainproof but not as warm!
will be making a day trip out to hanmer springs and possibly a winery, but otherwise will be in the city- and obviously going out at night.

hahaa, well to be truthful leather is not rainproof enough for New Zealand. Sounds like you may need to buy something, but do it down here. Although at Easter not sure what will be open. You'll need something warm, for sure. Maybe a weatherproof to go over the overcoat. What is the overcoat made from?

I think the weather ended up being quite warm?? anyway hope you had a good time "down south". Auckland's always nice for a visit :-))
