Turks and Caicos Islands What's Turks & Caicos like in late October??
Posted: Mon April 10, 2006 10:43 PM UTC
Hi,

I am planning a trip to Club Med and was thinking about going in late Oct-early Nov to take advantage of a great deal they are offering. I was wondering what the chances are of a hurricane at that point? I know that is nearing the end of hurricane season. Also, how hot is it? How bad are the mosquitos? Would I be better off spending the extra money and going in January instead? Any advice is appreciated.

Spent a week at the Club Med in Turks & Caicos a few years ago - late September. Weather was warm but pleasant... January would be about 5 degrees cooler. Don't remember being bothered by any mosquitos. Hurricane concerns should be minimal.

I recommend you not worry about the mosquitos, hurricanes and weather, and enjoy the clearest water and nicest beaches I've seen in travels throughout the Caribbean and South Pacific. Although there are the usual activities at Club Med (including SCUBA), there is not a lot to do besides water sports. Expect a laid-back quiet, restful trip.
