I'll be in GUAM (Tumon) around May 6-12 2006. I would like to go to a Salsa Dance club that has friendly women who will dance. I have heard that Hard Rock plays latin music but I don't know the days of the week. Any suggestions for this or other clubs in that area?

Hi As you can see the GUAM forum is not visited that much. No there is no place to dance Salsa in GUAM except maybe your hotel room. They don't even know what Salsa is. Supposedly the Hard Rock Cafe has some salsa but I think it's probably more of a latin beat. Did you find anything?

That was a bit rude. Guam's salsa scene may be small, but it exists, and fledgling dance communities tend to be passionate about what they do. This is so in Guam, too. Sonny Tolentino runs a school called "Let's Dance" where you can learn salsa, even New York style salsa. He would be the best person to go to find out where the local salsa events are. They have a great live band at Fish Bowl, ballroom/salsa events at several hotels in Tumon, and also salsa socials at the various dance schools. Have fun!
