I am going to be vising Lviv and Krakow from 19 to 22 April. I am interesting in trying to find an English speaking guide that could show me around the city. Also a recommendation for a safe place to stay. Thanks!

I'm in Lviv - providing history/sightseeing tours - periodically but profesionally.
Any hotel in Lviv would be safe to stay. - Good choise (location/comfort/price) is hotel "George" - www.georghotel.org. My e-mail - viktorko@ukr.net
