Hi there. Could any kind soul out there advise me on where to purchase original Gucci/Channel bags in Colombo- any specific shops? What are the approx price range ?

Any suggestions on where to buy children's clothings?

Would appreciate any feedback on the above.

The only place I can recommend for the designer wear bags would be the ODEL in Sri Lanka. This will be quite expensive but you can check it out there...ODEL does cater to all needs and they have a very elegant shopping mall located in the heart of the city of Colombo. YOu can buy childrens clothing as well over there. Another recomendation for children's clothing would be Cotton Collection, Arena and if you prefer clothing for a very cheap prices, just try the House of fashion at colombo 3.

Having just arrived back from sri lanka I would advise you to definitely not go there for the shopping. There is really not much to buy at all and even much of the clothing is of poor quality and not really long lasting and the handbags are not fashionable for western countries. Odel's is ok but pricey. Try Majestic city for cheap CD's and DVD.

Better to go for the scenery and sights and beaches which are excellent.
