| Ottawa | Ottawa To Niagara Posted: Fri April 7, 2006 07:03 AM UTC
Hello,
Need some suggestion about travelling from Ottawa to Niagara. Is bus/train a viable option? What kind of expense am I looking at if its a bus/train? Thanks Ash |

bus/train is viable. I'd choose train as you'll see alot more. Check out via rail for price information. While in NF, check out the maid of the mist, and have dinner in the sylon tower. May be pricy but is revolves and the view is amazing. If you are an experienced golfer there are many excellent choices in the area. Niagara on the lake for fudge and theatre and the drive from NF to Fort Erie is beautiful..

I think the train would be much nicer than a bus, you can get info here http://viarail.ca/
and bus info here http://www.greyhound.ca/ Both websites have fare calculators. I think the other post was suggesting the Skylon Tower, which has a great view for dinner. But it's expensive - $40 to $60 for the entrees alone.

Taking the train would be more of a pleasant experience. The seats are comfortable and there is a whole lot more leg room. The view would be also amazing. I Went to Nigarafalls about 2years ago using the greyhound bus. I was a student then. It cost about $95 with return from ottawa to Toronto. From Toronto we took another bus it cost about $40 return. The trip was tiring and my legs were cramped by the time I got there. I havnt have the chance to take the train Nigara but I have used the train to visit Toronto and the experience was great.
The Train can be affortable if you book online with via rial. Well good luck
