| Oia | What is the best way to travel from Tuscany to Santorini Greece Posted: Thu April 6, 2006 10:08 PM UTC
I be in Tuscany/Florence Italy in August and then travelling to Santorini Greece for 2 weeks. I am not sure if I should fly or take the ferry to Santorini. Does anyone have any ideas on what is the most efficient way to get to Greece?
Thanks. |

Obviously the most efficient way is to fly. Aegean Airlines has cheap flights from Rome and Milan to Athens where you can catch another plane out to Santorini. Or you can get to Venice, Bari or Brindisi and take the ferry to Patras or Igoumenitsa in Greece then a bus to Athens then a ferry to Santorini. Alitalia sometimes has good fares as well, and if you're lucky enough to find room, www.easyjet.com has very cheap flights from Milan to Athens.

That's a looooong ferry ride. I would definitely choose flying.
