Hi There,
I have been to Capri a couple of times and will be going again for my honeymoon in June (getting married in Positano first!!) Capri is a beautiful island, you will love it. I find Capri town itself a truly beautiful place, but a little 'flashy', touristy and very expensive. I much prefer Anacapri town, it's not far away but less busy, that said it is still nice and lively, with pretty piazze and there are lots of very good restaurants and nice bars....and even a nightclub! I always stay at Villa Eva....a great little family run place I found about 10 years ago, it's set in lovely gardens, is very comfortable and has a nice bar and pool. www.villaeve.com. It's more of a B and B than a hotel - but I prefer to spend my money on cocktails in nice bars watching the sunset - or a Prada treat if I do venture to Capri town. You should also hire motorini (mopeds) rom Antonio....if you're feeling brave it's the BEST way to see the island. I have some goo restaurant tips too if you decide on AnaCapri let me know.

Hi thanks for the info on capri .we have just decided on Anacapri over capri town so any info on resturants in anacapri would be great ,it will be our first trip to capri so we cant wait, the villa eve looks like a nice place to stay at a great price. some of the hotels on the island are so expensive, i think the same as you i would rather spend the money on nice food and drink
thanks again for the info Jeff..

We just stayed at Tirrenia Roberts (you can find it on capri.net) The room was great, and their prices run from 90-110 a night, very reasonable for Capri. Every morning, we walked straight from our room to the flowery terrace that overlooked the sea. we even had a private bathroom. The innkeepers, Costanza and Eva, are wonderful. Eva helped us every morning figure out what to do. She even gave us a great way to see the Blue Grotto without having to wait through the endless line for boat trips there. I highly recommend them. If you have questions, feel free to ask.

Just to warn you about Anacapri. Yes, it is cheaper, but the only way to get there is by bus or motor transportation. You can reach everything easier from Capri and won't have to take a bus everytime you want to go somewhere. Just a thought. Stay in Capri and take the bus to Anacapri for a day. You won't be sorry.

Hi We only took a day trip but it is a great place and if you want you can catch the ferry to Naples or Sorrento if you want a day off the Island, the ferry trip is less than an hour. You are welcome to view my Capri pages.
Good Luck, Mikebb
