| Esbly | Anyone been to Beauvais?? Posted: Tue June 3, 2003 06:02 PM UTC
My mate and I are flying into Beauvais with Ryan air. We're just after information about the area and want to know whether or not it is worth sticking around there for 6 days. We need to do the hol on the cheap and want to avoid Paris City Centre. What is the night life like in Beauvais? Is accommodation easy enough to find? Thanks for your help.

I don't get it, you want to spend 6 days in Beauvais or you want to stay in Beauvais while visiting Paris? Sorry to sound rude but both are bad idea. There is nothing worth the price of your flight ticket to do in Beauvais, and if you plan to save money on staying there, you'll spend even more on transportation and time to get to Paris.

There's nothing in Beauvais (well apart from the cathedral, which has the highest vault in the world , but even the most devout cathedral-lover would struggle to spend more than 6 hours looking at it - never mind 6 days!).

Don't stay in Beauvais, you would probably die from boredom.
Beauvais is VERY far from Paris. It is practically in the coutryside. Take a train to paris, and stay at a Youth Hostel. you can find a list at http://www.fuaj.org/ There are many more hostels in Paris. Do a little googling to find them all!!
