Garmisch-Partenkirchen Luge?
Posted: Sat April 1, 2006 09:39 PM UTC
I'll be staying in Garmisch for a few nights and will have a car. I'd like to ride a luge, and have a book that lists a few around Tirol. Anyone have a particular one they recommend? How long should I plan on this taking, including the wait in line (if there is one)?
Danke!

The sommerrodelbahn at Garmisch is by the Ski stadium but it isn't a luge but a wheeled toboggan run. It's probably too late this year to hire a ski bike but if you go in the winter they are good fun and cost about 30 euros a day to hire. I don't think there is any luge hire in Garmisch and sledges and toboggans are more popular. There are enough runs and several are specifically prepared for sledders.
