Goto http://024bedrijven.pagina.nl/ and search the box called: Uitzendbureaus/Work

There are 17 agencies to select from. One of them is StudentMatch (http://www.studentmatch.nl/)

Sorry, a lot of the info is in Dutch (but we always can help translating).

Maybe this site can help you on your way?

http://www.expatica.com/index.asp?pad=80,269,&item_id=9729

Nijmegen is a real studentstown and there are many jobs in HORECA and other places. Of course, it is easier if you know someone from here ... if you can't work things out ... contact me, I will look in to a contact in Nijmegen.

Regards, Paul

Hi!
Thank you very much! These sites are very useful, it's a pity that almost all sites are in Dutch (strange, isn't it?), and I think Dutch will be necessary for working on them (and my Dutch is NONE). Anyway, I have specially seen one enterprise that results interesting to me, Aia Software.
Expatica.com has helped me too much, it contains a lot of things I didn't know until today, but still I don't know what HORECA means?

Thank you again, you have helped me too much!!!
Bye!

Pepe

HORECA =
HOtels REstaurants & CAfe's
The popular name that this sector has in The Netherlands and as far as I know, many other countries as well.

Anyway, I am glad to have helped you out a little.

Hello,

My tip:

If you look for a job in the HORECA in Nijmegen! At this moment 2 of the four cinema’s are looking for employees. Also hotel Atlanta (on of my favorite places for a cup of coffee and a nice piece of pie) on the market square is looking for new employees in different departments.

And one other free tip if you like hotels maybe this is a good place to start: http://goldentulipvalmonte.goldentulip.com/hotel/index2.asp?ShowLanguage=EN
It’s a hotel near Nijmegen.

The vest thing to do is to go for a walk trough the city and keep your eyes open, because than you will find the most interesting Vacancies

One more thing, don’t go to a job agency they will pay you less, than if you go direct to the company.

If you need any help feel free to contact me ( : Good luck !!!

try /www.goldentulipvalmonte.nl
or www.goldetulip.com

In the middle of the woods with a spectacular view off the mountain and near Nijmegen, the oldest city of the Netherlands,
you will find the friendly four star hotel Golden Tulip Val Monte.
.
Otherwise you can try: http://www.creyfs.nl/asa_student/inschrijven.cfm?smi=3

But I'm afraid this site is only in Dutch!

Good luck in trying !

Nijmegen RE: RE: more about questions in nijmegen

Hello Paul,

You seem to be a helpful guy; I was wondering if you will be able to give me some suggestions/guidance. I have been trying to find some way to find out information on the internet about the village of Wanroij, but most of it seems to be in Dutch.

My son just arrived in Amsterdam a couple of days ago, after travelling through Europe. While in the Netherlands, I would like him to visit Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, as my mother's cousin is buried there. His name was Percival Edward BARRON, a navigator with the Royal Canadian Air Force, age 28, from Mafeking, Manitoba, CANADA. Our relative was shot down by a German pilot in March, 1943 over a farm field near Wanroij, near Peelkant. Four other young Canadians died with him. Apparently, there was a boy by the name of JOHAN HENDRICKS on whose farm the plane crashed. The boy was the first on the scene. I wonder if he is still alive?

Anyway, can you please tell me how big the village of Wanroij is, and are there any accommodations/hostels for him to stay at whilst there? Or would it be better for him to stay at the city of Nijmegen, and make a day trip to Wanroij? Nijmegen sounds very nice.

He is also a musician, and was playing with a Canadian band at Freiburg, Germany during this year's Music Festival early in July. He would likely be interested in checking out local bands if he goes to Nijmegen.

Anyway, your help would be very much appreciated!

Bonnie

Wanroij doesn't have a hotel. Staying at Nijmegen is the option.

A detailed answer is in your mailbox.

The Lancaster bomber went down near Westerbeek, where a monument commemorates this tragedy.

Nijmegen for staying (and visiting Groesbeek Cemetery) is excellent. For Wanroij and Westerbeek, a stay in Boxmeer could be a closer option.

Regards,

Paul
