I will be moving to Canberra in August and need a job before I get there. I
will only need temporary work 3 months or so until I come home. Im moving
there for fun Im graduating college in May and thought an Australian adventure would be fun. If anyone is capable or knows anyone who is capable of hiring a
new college grad for a short time please let me know.

Canberra? Why Canberra?

Not a totally bad idea, Ian. It will still be winter here in August, so you'll be within a few hours of the skifields if that interests you. Sydney is about three hours by road, if you want to visit. You might care to look at my Canberra page for what's around the place. As for employment, might I suggest you do a google using 'canberra employment' - not sure if you can limit the search to Australian sites only from the USA. Hope this helps. George

Hello. I'm from Canberra. As the capital city of Australia, this is where the headquarters of all the Federal Government agencies are based (including Immigration and Federal Police). So make sure that you have your documentations in order, before you even contemplate to look for a job in Canberra.

Canberra has been copping a beating from outsiders, but take it with a grain of salt. It is a very place. Canberra can be fun if you look in the right place.
