| Kanchanaburi | Death railway audio tour Posted: Fri March 31, 2006 01:52 PM UTC
I remember seeing a brochur about an audio tour of the Death railway where you walk for about 1hr with headphones through one section of the railway. If so, can anyone give me more info about it? Where does the tour start from and how much and what's it like?
thanks Jean |

You will find that at the Hellfire Pass Museum, about 80km to the northwest of Kanchanaburi. The museum is located at the route 323, just above the notorious Hellfire Pass. The old track of the railway can be visited there, but the rails are gone, as are the bridges across the small valleys.
I did the tour without the audio guide, but I have seen it offered at the museum. there are some infos on the Hellfire Pass and the museum on my VT page http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/2508b/160e0c/4/
