| Phitsanulok | Transportation to Sukhothai Posted: Thu March 30, 2006 12:53 AM UTC
The overnight train from Bangkok arrives in Phitsanulok at 4:16 a.m. How difficult will it be to find transportation to Sukhothai at this hour of the morning? How far away is the bus station from the train station? Will we have to wait around for a long time?
Thanks! |

Hi -
According to my Lonely Planet guide, there are buses from Phitsanulok to Sukhothai every half-hour or so (it doesn't have the time for the 1st one, sorry, but given their frequency the first one should be reasonably early); the journey takes an hour. The bus station in Phitsanulok is 2km out from the centre (the train station is in the middle of town) - the LP guide reckons that city bus No. 1 will take you there. Hope this helps... - Jeremy
