My daughter and I are interested in driving from Budapest to Uzhhorod Ukraine in April How are the roads? Border crossings? Is is worth the drive?How far is the drive? Is it safe?

It will take you about 3-4 hours. Border crossing was quite eay a year ago. Now, I heard, it became a bit more complicated but you can't really predict for sure. Roads.... well, honestly, they're much better in Hungary than in Ukraine, so be prepared. But obviously better than in jungles :)

We are a family of 4 traveling in romania and Hungary this summer. I would like an answer to the same question. Is there train service from Budapest to Uzhorod?
