Hi, I'm staying in Taman Jurong. Are there any gyms which are provided by the community centres? Can't afford to join the upmarket ones in Orchard or Shenton Way.

You might want to take a look at the ClubFIT Gym at the Jurong East Sports Complex. The telephone number is 6896 3569.
http://www.ssc.gov.sg/SportsWeb/sw_cat_details.jsp I believe there is also a gym inside the tall building (the JTC Summit?) next to the Jurong East MRT station, on the 3rd or 4th level. I can't say for sure, but it doesn't look like the community centres have gym facilities.
