Hiya
We're going to Sri Lanka in mid-May and want to stay near to the Elephant Millennium Sanctuary at Randeniya, Hiriwadunna in Kegalle. Does anyone know of a nice hotel or even private villa for approximately 5 people, 3-4 star, with hot water fairly nearby? Also do you know how long it would take to drive from Kandy to the sanctuary? Thanking you in anticipation! |

ps when i say hot water fairly nearby, i mean hot water in the villa or hotel and nearby to the sanctuary! terrible grammar. sorry

Hi there,
Can only tell about the distance. This sanctuary is not too far from Pinawela orphanage (a little to the southwest of it). That is about 1 hour from Kandy and 1.5 hours from Colombo. Normal tourist hotels (both quite good) roughly in that area are: * Tree of Life, between Kandy and Kadugannawa * Tulip of Ceylon in Mawanella Regards, <Erik> & [Sandya]
