Siauliai Looking for relatives
Posted: Thu March 23, 2006 12:51 AM UTC
Information that may not be accurate says that my paternal grandfather changed his name from Frank Luleis to Frank Lulevitch when he arrived in America in 1895.
Our family has been unclear about the name Luleis, or it could be spelled Lulies.
Any information anyone may have will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Tom Lulevitch

Try to put an add in the magazine "Atleisk". The magazine is not only about dating but also has a long tradition for looking for relatives. Also you could write to the archive in Vilnius if you know where your grandpa came from and had a birth date etc. They will check your letter and if they think they can help, you have to pay a fee and when they find something you then pay per page of findings.
Alternatively, you could just travel to the village and ask around or write the church there.

Good luck!

The TV show isn't called atleisk anymore, it's called Nepriklausoma Paieškų Tarnyba. Anyway, good luck
