I am considering taking a day trip to Vienna from Bratislava in the summer. Could someone please tell me if it's easier to go by train or bus? Sometimes it's hard to understand the bus timetables and even find the stop, so I wondered if travelling by train might be easier (and quicker). I know the bus is cheaper, but if the train isn't a lot more expensive and is more convienient then I'll get the train. Also, it seems that neither the bus or train stops right in the city centre, but a little outside. Is this correct?

The trains are really convinient , departing each hour , return ticket costs 7.70 Eur . The cheapest bus is one from the Blaguss company ( http://www.blaguss.sk/ba_wien.php) Bus operates from Bratislava airport , than stops in city centre ( novy most) bus station under the new bridge 5 min walk from historical centre , next stop is vienna airport and finally vienna city centre ( wien erdberg - easy acces to vienna underground)
Fare between Bratislava novy most ( city centre station under the new bridge) to vienna city centre (erdberg) is 150 SK = 3.90 Eur If you wanna know more just ask :)
