Vatican City View from St. Peter's Cathedral
Posted: Sat March 18, 2006 03:48 PM UTC
Hi! Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to enter the St. Peter's Dome (for a bird view...). I'm doing a plan for a group and would like to make as exact financial plan as possible ;). Thanks!

According to VT'r in 2004 it was 3.50 and 4, stairs or elevator (http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Europe/Italy/Lazio/Rome-144659/Things_To_Do-Rome-St_PetersVatican_City-BR-1.html). Interesting that it is not on the Vatican Website.

Hi Meta !
For a group you will get better prices (depending on the number of people)
+ 1 person will be for free (normally a tourguide).
In restaurants it is normally 1 person for free for each 20 persons paying !
there is first a lift to the roof of St.Peter cathedral and you may walk behind the big sculptures of the 12 apostels, looking down from the cathedral. Up to this point everybody may go, and there is also a souvenirshop at that level.
The rest are the steps to the cuppola, with really narrow spots that are not adapted for elderly, very heavy or handicapped people.
