hi we are sailing and would like (need) to use a uk orange tri band mobile phone.
do we need a USA chip? any snags or solutions thanks for answering |

There are some places in the BVI (especially near the USVI), where you can pick up US networks, and therefore if you have roaming then can pick these up with your UK mobile phone. Note though that in the majority of the BVI we have our own network (CCT Boatphone), and only that works.
One final thing to note, when I moved here from the UK I could not use the phone as the battery charger used the wrong voltage (so I could not charge the phone), and a socket adaptor did not work. Not all phones are like mine though.
