Your talking start of summer in western australia so very cold I would say no, I would be expecting mainly warm days. I cannot remember high winds the week I was there but then I may have been lucky.

Esperance is cold and windy by Western Ausrtaila standards, but not compared to Scotland.
It's midsummer in Oz in December! It will definately not be cold. It's not much colder in winter in Esperance than it is in summer in Scotland(they have mild frosts in mid winter, snow is almost unheard of, just very occassionally on high ground)) The wind is worse in the winter, but there are likely to be strong breezes in the summer, especially near the beaches. Hi Kathryn. Yes Esperance is a very windy place most of the year. The best month to visit Esperance is February. Personally, I still find it not warm enough here in Perth until January. ...But then I come from Queensland, so I prefer hot weather :o) As Lesley said, coming from a colder climate than most of Australia, you'll probably enjoy Esperance in November/December. Although you can't really escape from the wind in Esperance :o) Hubby and I are looking forward to visiting Scotland next year (in summer ;o). Might see you there :o) Cheers, Ann.

Not warm enough til Feb Ann!!! How on earth will you survive in Scotland? From Dec til March I think it's too hot here all the time!
Kathryn, you may like to look at this Australian weather site. http://www.weatherzone.com.au/local/local.jsp?obs= Lesley

Hi , In November there could be warm days say 20C and cooler nights, there can be hotter days but it will never be very hot until January Feb , but as on the bottom of WA expect it to be 6 to 8C cooler than Perth.
Good Luck, Mikebb
