I will be going to Pucallpa in late july or early august, to do a 5 day tour of the ucayali with a native boat man and an ayahuascero shaman. I am looking for someone to come with me to share the costs, of boat man, boat, gas, etc. You do not need to do the ayahuasca ceremonies if that is not your thing. Please contact me if you are interested and if your schedule is similar to mine.

I was planning on doing a ayahuascua trip too, but not till March 2007. Was reading about it in the National Geographic Adventure magazine and read a couple of people's tales from this particular place that is 40km from Iquitos, I think.

Was wondering if you had anymore information about it. Is this through a certain group and if they had a website.

We (3 of us) are looking for a unique way to explore the amazon. SOunds like you might be onto something. We won;t be available until after August 10. Is this too late for you? Could you share more details on the trip you are arranging?

Actually I think the 10th of august is a little bit too late for my itinerary. You can contact me off the forum for more information. I am reluctant to leave the contacts on the forum because I haven't reserved yet and, as my schedule is not very flexible, I would hate it if someone reserved my boatman before I did.

No way I can come with you, though I'd love to, but would you mind telling me about it once you've done it? It's something I'm definiely thinking of doing in the future.
