I know nothing about the geography of Thailand, nor whether you will actually be in Ko Tao or someplace that is more likely to have a Catholic population, but you should look at http://lox2.loxinfo.co.th/~thcatcom/ for a list of parishes and other Catholic institutions in Thailand and see if it helps...

Here are 2 more websites, that deal with Catholics in Thailand, so they might help you:

http://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/Heights/8977/

http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/country/th.html

You posted your question in the Ko Tao Forum, but I doubt that there is a catholic church on this island.

The only Catholic church in Thailand that I know is in BKK, in Soi Ruam Rudi. Soi Ruam Rudi starts near the BTS station Ploenchit, and goes soutwards to the northeastern corner of Lumpini park. If I recall right (it was 12 or 13 years ago!) the church is near the southern end.

Hi,
I have been told on a number of occasions that there is actually a catholic church on ko samui. Which as far as im aware you will need to pass through to get to ko tao anyway.
Good Luck.

Hi Sandra,
No there is no Catholic Church here. I've lived here many years and as the Island is developing rapidly we have yet to get a Catholic Church.
Best T.
PS. The Buddist Tepmple is always open.
