"best" equals "cheapest", "largest", "most comfortable", "closest to Basilica", "most stars"??? give us a hint on what is important to you...

...and in addition to mccalpin:
should it be the centre of medieval Assisi, where the cathedral is and most of the accomodations are inside monasteries and maybe a few private B&B. or the new Assisi, where discos might be and good shopping facilities and modern hotels ??
